FAQs

Guidelines to Applications

Applications for engineer registration shall be submitted through the official ECoSS digital platform by completing the prescribed application form and uploading all required supporting documents in accordance with the defined registration requirements.

The Council registers engineers under defined categories, including Graduate Engineers, Professional Engineers, Consulting Engineers, and Temporary Engineers, based on qualifications, experience, and regulatory requirements.

Applicants shall submit verified academic qualifications, valid identification documents, professional experience records, and any additional documents as specified by ECoSS registration guidelines.

All applications undergo a structured process comprising administrative verification, technical evaluation by designated committees, professional interviews where applicable, and final approval by the ECoSS Board.

Applicants shall have access to real-time application status tracking through the ECoSS digital platform, including updates on verification, evaluation, interview scheduling, and final approval stages.

Payments & Registration

An applicant account shall be created through the official ECoSS digital platform by providing accurate personal details and completing the required identity verification process.

The system shall support secure online payment methods integrated with approved payment gateways for processing registration, evaluation, and licensing fees.

Upon successful completion of a transaction, the system shall generate an electronic payment confirmation and receipt, which shall be stored within the applicant’s profile for reference.

If a payment transaction fails, the system shall notify the applicant and allow reattempt of payment or selection of an alternative approved payment method without affecting the application progress.

Payment completion does not constitute final registration approval. Applications shall be subject to verification, evaluation, and approval processes prior to issuance of registration or licensing decisions.

ERB Fee Structure

The fee structure includes application processing fees, technical evaluation fees, interview assessment fees (where applicable), and licensing or registration issuance fees, depending on the selected engineer category.

Fee amounts are not uniform and shall vary based on the registration category, qualification level, and scope of assessment required for Graduate, Professional, Consulting, and Temporary Engineers.

Registration-related fees shall be payable during the application submission stage prior to the commencement of the verification and evaluation process.

Fees paid for application processing and evaluation are generally non-refundable, as they cover administrative and assessment services regardless of the application outcome.

Licensed engineers shall be required to pay annual renewal fees in addition to fulfilling Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements to maintain valid registration status.

Notices

All official notices, announcements, and regulatory updates are published exclusively through the ECoSS digital platform under the designated notices section for public and stakeholder access.

Applicants shall receive system-generated notifications through their dashboard, registered email address, and SMS alerts regarding any updates, requirements, or status changes.

Yes, all published notices shall be considered binding for applicants and stakeholders, as they may include procedural changes, deadlines, and compliance requirements.

Notices are updated as and when required, based on regulatory decisions, policy amendments, system updates, or operational requirements of the Council.

Users are advised to regularly monitor the notices section. Previously published notices shall remain accessible through the system archive for reference purposes.
